If you own a blog, it will be good for you to choose a resolution that will be able to make visitors view your site at once, not the type in which they will have to scroll endlessly looking for a particular link or download. If your blog looks awkward, you can bet with me that the visitor might just leave the website or blog within a twinkle of an eye.
You will agree with me that it will be hard to make money from your advertisements or affiliate links if visitors have to scroll endlessly before they can view the stuffs on your page.
To view your blog in other resolutions type following in address bar of your browser and hit enter :

javascript:top.resizeTo(1024,768)
javascript:top.resizeTo(640,480)
Change '800,600' to whatever resolution you like.
