Google Nigeria recently launched its GNBO initiative! GNBO means "Get Nigerian Businesses Online". The primary objective is to encourage Nigerian businesses to get a website to establish their business-presence online.
Google has provided a free platform for businesses to get online by launching an easy to use portal that will enable SMBs to quickly and easily create a website and populate it with their related contents.
Google Nigeria, via the GNBO initiative is providing a fast, free and easy end-to-end solution and all the support you need for creating a professional looking website.
If you are interested, here's what you get:
==> Free easy-to-build and maintain, professional website
==> Free matching mobile website
==> Free gnbo.com.ng sub-domain
==> Free website hosting
And when you purchase a customised domain name* , you will get in addition,
==> 10 Free email accounts ( @yourdomain.com )

==> You will need to have a Gmail account to set-up your website. If you do not already have a Gmail account, please sign-up for one
==> If you do not know how to design a website, Google has already created some tutorials for you here: http://www.google.com/support/businesssitebuilder/
==> If you still can't create your website after reading the tutorials, you can get one-on-one support for a limited time via the Free Web Clinics. Just check : http://www.gnbo.com.ng/clinics
==> Once you create your website, your address will be www.something.gnbo.com.ng . You can change this to www.something.com.ng for just N1, 500
If you need help and would like to change your gnbo.com.ng to custom domain ( .com.ng ), my younger brother will do it for you. He is one of the computer literate personnel currently working with Google to drive the initiative.
