·

If you download nin app, installed it and used it to link your mobile numbers to your nin but no longer displaying the linked numbers, do not worry. It can easily be fixed. I experienced same and I got it fixed. Hence, the reason I’ve decided to share the trick with you.

If you encounter a “No Internet connection available” or “Network request failed” error when you tap the “link my numbers” or “my devices” icon after signing in to the nimc nin app, do the following :

  • check and make sure your device is actually connected to the Internet
  • update the nin app from the app store or download the latest nimc nin app apk
  • login to nimc nin app
  • tap on the “Tools” icon at the bottom of the app screen, tap on the “Settings” button, then tap on the “Wipe Mobile ID Data” option
  • re-sign in to nin app by re-entering your ID details.

I hope this works for you.

Alternatively,

You can make use of the login to nimc national id portal to view the mobile numbers linked to your nin.

About NIN

The National Identification Number (NIN) is a set of numbers assigned to an individual upon successful enrolment. Enrolment consists of the recording of an individual’s demographic data and capture of the ten (10) fingerprints, head-to-shoulder facial picture and digital signature, which are all used to cross-check existing data in the National Identity Database to confirm that there is no previous entry of the same data.

The NIN once issued to a person cannot be used again, (that is, it cannot be issued to another person even if the previous person is dead). It is the NIN that helps to tie all records about a person in the database and is used to check the identity verified.
