How To Get Buses Going to Makurdi from Lagos

If you want to travel from Lagos to Makurdi by road, you can easily get buses going to Makurdi from Lagos at Iddo/Oyingbo Motor Park, Lagos State. Benue Links park is located right there, directly opposite G. Kappa. Right there, you will also get buses going to Gboko, Benue State.

If you are going to Otukpo from Lagos, you can also board those buses as they will all pass Otukpo before heading to Makurdi or Gboko. Silver Travels is a popular company with head office in Otukpo Benue state. So, if you spot their buses at iddo park, feel free to get on board.

Getting to the park is very easy. Just find your way to Yaba and board a keke that can drop you at iddo park. You can easily get Yaba bus from Oshodi and some other parts of Lagos. The iddo motor park is meters away from the train terminus.

You can’t get a direct Night Bus to Makurdi from Lagos. So ensure, you get to the park as early as possible in the morning. Even if you book ahead, you have to be there on time. Else, they will swap your space for another passenger.

Makurdi to Lagos by road is about 12 hours. Major towns you will pass include:  Ore (Ondo State), Okada (Edo State), Asaba (Delta State), Onitsha, Awka (Anambra State), 9th Mile, Obollo Affor (Enugu State), Otukpa, Otukpo (Benue State).

When you get to the park, you have to be very smart because there are lots of touts there that will likely be dragging you to board their company bus. So, be ready to scream and shout at them..lol

If you want to go to Makurdi from Lagos by Air, you will have to board a flight to Enugu or Abuja and join a bus to Makurdi. Enugu to Makurdi by road is about 4 hours, same as Abuja to Makurdi.
