I just got one FREE MONTH of Meta Verified after attempting to cancel my subscription and honestly, I found the experience interesting.
If you’ve been following recent updates on my Facebook profile, you probably know that I’ve been dealing with a profile recommendation issue that has affected the visibility and discoverability of my Facebook profile.
At some point, I decided to subscribe to Meta Verified, partly because I expected the additional benefits, particularly enhanced support, to help me get the issue resolved.
Unfortunately, despite being a paying Meta Verified subscriber, my profile recommendation issue remained unresolved.
I wasn’t particularly happy about paying for a service that wasn’t helping me address one of the major reasons I wanted better access to Meta’s support in the first place.
So, I decided to cancel my subscription.
Interestingly, that’s when Meta came up with an offer I wasn’t expecting!

Meta Offered Me One Free Month to Stay
While going through the cancellation process, Meta displayed a retention offer titled “Get next month free.”
The message said:
“We’re sorry to see you go. Get an additional month of Meta Verified if you keep your subscription…”
The offer listed some of the benefits I could continue enjoying, including:
- Verified badge
- Increased account protection
- Enhanced support
- Upgraded profile links
- Search optimisation
- Ability to add links to Facebook posts
I was then presented with two options: Claim free month or Continue cancellation.
Interestingly, the other screen confirmed:
“Congratulations! You got one free month of Meta Verified.”
It also showed December 9, 2026, as my next billing date.
So, instead of immediately losing my subscription, I got an additional month without paying for it.
Is Meta Verified Worth Paying For?
Well, that depends on what you’re subscribing for.
Meta Verified offers benefits such as a verified badge, account protection and access to enhanced support. However, if your primary reason for subscribing is to get help resolving a particular account issue, your experience may be different from what you expect.
In my case, the subscription hasn’t helped resolve my Facebook profile recommendation issue, which is still a major concern for me.
Getting a free month is nice, but what I really want is a resolution to the issue affecting my profile.

My Takeaway On Meta Verified Free Subscription Offer
One interesting thing I noticed from this experience is that Meta is willing to offer a free month to subscribers who are trying to leave.
I don’t know whether everyone gets this offer when attempting to cancel Meta Verified or whether it depends on individual accounts, subscription history or other factors.
But if you’re considering cancelling your Meta Verified subscription, it may be worth checking whether Meta presents you with a retention offer during the cancellation process.
As for me, I’ll continue monitoring my profile recommendation status. Hopefully, Meta will eventually resolve the issue.
Have you ever received a free month or discount offer from Meta after attempting to cancel a subscription? I’d love to hear about your experience in the comments.
