How Chitika Pays Nigerians

2018 UPDATE : Check out the new Chitika payment method here.

How does Chitika Pays users in Nigerian?” is one of the frequently asked questions I receive via email by Nigerian Bloggers willing to make money from blogging. Without beating about the bush, Chitika doesn’t have a different or special payment option for Nigerians; you get paid via your PayPal account or via standard check.

It’s no more news that as a Nigerian, you cannot open a PayPal account unless you use some tricks. If you don’t understand this, what I’m trying to say is that as at the time of publishing this, PayPal doesn’t accept registration from Nigerians. If you go to paypal.com, Nigeria is not listed. As a result of this, if you are a Nigerian, I recommend you opt in for the check payment option at Chitika.com.

Chitika will send your check to you after you might have earned at least $50.00. It will be sent to the address you entered in your Chitika profile. You might have to wait for more than a month before you will receive your check but if you want to receive your payment without much delay, you can opt in for the PayPal payment option.

Your account needs to accumulate the minimum amount of $10.00 for PayPal before a payment can be sent to your PayPal account. Those days when I was using Chitika, I received my payments via my USA verified PayPal account as seen in the screenshot below.

There is no big deal in opening a USA verified Paypal account in Nigeria. All you need is a VPN eg hotspot shield (to change to USA IP), VBA account (to verify your account) and a USA phone number (needed in situations when Paypal wants to call you). You can read how to open Paypal account with Blackberry for an idea of how to go about the process.

To make good money from Chitika, place the Chitika ads below your posts. Remember, Chitika will only pay you for clicks from their supported countries which are the US, CA, UK, GB, DE, IT, ES NL, DK, NO, SE and India. Hence, if you get good traffic from those countries, Chitika ads will make sense on your blog.

  1. No wonder my chitika earnings arr too low. So they only pay for clicks in supported countries which unfortunately doesn't include Nigeria. Someone should please advise me, between chitika and addynamo, which us better for Nigerians?
