To activate MTN Blackberry Service, you must be a new or existing MTN Prepaid or Postpaid customer with a smartphone that supports BlackBerry and you must have enough airtime balance. MTN Nigeria offers new Blackberry packages tagged BlackBerry Complete and BlackBerry Unlimited , in addition to existing MTN BIS packages.

To activate the BlackBerry Internet service on the MTN network, choose any of the plans below:

MTN BIS Complete

==> recharge N1500 and text BBC to 21600. This will one MONTH subscription
==> recharge N500 and text BBCWEEK to 21600 . This will give you one WEEK subscription

MTN BIS Social

==> recharge N1500 and text BBS to 21600. This will one MONTH subscription
==> recharge N450 and text BBSWEEK to 21600. This will one WEEK subscription

MTN BIS Unlimited

==> recharge N3000 and text BIS to 21600. This will give you one MONTH subscription
==> recharge N1000 and text BBWEEK to 21600. This will give you one WEEK subscription

NOTE:
==> If you subscribe to MTN BIS Unlimited Monthly package, you make calls at the rate of 17k/sec – on-net ( from the very first second) and 35k/sec – offnet

Features of MTN BIS Social, MTN BIS Complete and MTN BIS Unlimited 

Features of  MTN Blackberry Complete plan :

==> Create and use only one (1) BlackBerry email address (i.e. username@mtnnigeria.blackberry.com).
==> Integrate and use only one (1) third party email account.
==> Access or browse the Internet up to 200MB (monthly) and 50MB (weekly)
==> Access Social Networking Services.
==> Access Instant Messaging Services.
==> Access the BlackBerry Messenger Instant Messaging Service.

Features of  MTN Blackberry Unlimited plan:

==> 10 email accounts,
==> 1 Blackberry email account,
==> BBM,
==> Unlimited Internet access,
==> Social Networking,
==> BlackBerry App world.
==> Blackberry Protect.

Features of MTN Blackberry Social plan:

==> BB Messenger
==> Instant messaging
==> Unlimited social networking
==> Browsing and push mail are restricted

Text  ‘’STATUS’’ to ‘’ 21600 ’’ to check expiry date of your MTN BlackBerry® Service.
