Adsense Introduces 970×250 and 300×1050 Ad Sizes
Google Adsense has announced the introduction of two new ad sizes – 970 x 250 Billboard and the 300 x 1050 Portrait, which Google believes will help Adsense publishers to reach more advertisers while also enhancing user experience and engagement on their sites.
The new, larger ad formats are meant to provide a great canvas for rich creatives. As with most of Adsense ad sizes, both of these ad units can accommodate standard text ads in addition to image ads.
Additionally, they can show similar-sized image ads. In this case, you may occasionally see a 300 x 250 ad served in the 970 x 250 ad unit and a 160 x 600 served in the 300 x 1050 ad unit when those units are opted in to showing image ads.
Hence, 300×250 and 970×250 image ads will both compete for your 970×250 ad unit while 160×600 and 300×1050 image ads will both compete for your 300×1050 ad unit with the most competitive ad served thus maximizing the earnings on your ad units. When a 160×600 image is served it will be centered in the 300×1050 ad unit.
As both of these new sizes are large ad units, publishers can place a maximum of one of these units per page.
Which of these new ad sizes will you add to your blog?

The 970×250 will make alot of sense in the header area. More money from clicks bro. Wink**
Yea, if the blog's width can accommodate it and will still leave room for some content to display above the fold
This one is hard to choose. Both are really awesome. For me the sidebar of my blog is where clicks come from the most, and I dont know why. But the 970 by 250 will make sense. I'm confuse now which one to implement.
You can try each one of them lets say for one month. Since clicks come most from your sidebar, you can try that first..
Well the know the best and I believe it will work for all
300×1050

Adsense sign up has become a very big deal lately.. not easy at all
Still thinking about giving it a try. but can it be added within post body using html parser?
Yes, but those units might be too large for you to embed inside a post bro.
Can someone apply for google adsense only after 6months of blogging? Or what specific number of time is permit before applying for adsense?….. http://Www.nairareal.blogspot.com
No specific amount of time bro. What matters is content and meeting up with the requirements.
Jide, 970 x 250 will rock the header more!!!! Besides its much more larger and visible from my own point of view
why in my adsense dashboard no larger ad units 300 x 1050, if it was kind of a premium account
