Check JAMB 2010 Results:UTME Result Analysis

The JAMB/UTME 2010 exam results have been released officially by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board. I am sharing with you today, the analysis of the results as stated by the JAMB Registrar when officially announcing the breakdown of the results on Friday, April 23, 2010.
If you are so eager to check JAMB/UTME result, just go over to https://www.jamb.org.ng/. Follow the instructions on the website and within a few minutes, you should be able to view your score.

Below is the breakdown of the 2010 JAMB/UTME Results:
* No. of candidates that sat for Jamb UTME: 1,276,795
* No. of that sat for Jamb UTME in foreign countries: 271
* No. UTME candidates that scored 200 and above: 501,463 (41%)
* No. of UTME candidates that scored 180 and above: 832,434 (68%)
* State with highest number of UTME candidates: Imo (111,613)
* State with least number of UTME candidates: Abuja (2,393)
* State with highest number of malpractices: Bayelsa (5,442 cases)
* No of withheld UTME results: 20,780

The top three candidates in the 2010 JAMB/UTME exam have not announced because, some results are still being screened.

With speculations here and there that only 5000 candidates out of the 1,276,795 that sat for the exam will be admitted, I keep wondering if someone that scores between 180 and 200 will ever be admitted into the Universities, this time around. Well, shit happens…

I am using this opportunity to congratulate those that performed well…just start preparing for the post Jamb or post UTME; though , some people are saying there won’t be such again. Let’s wait and see…

  3. @Collins..How I just wished 1 mark was added for you to make it 200. Anyway, all results have not been released yet, hence, Jamb is yet to publicly announce the cut-off marks…Just keep praying though..Wishing you all the best.

  4. i have been trying to check a jamb result but to know avail.
    the check result box always open and i type in the Registration Number and the year, it will show checking and return to formal.
    what next should i do to enable me check the result proper.

  5. @Ify….the problem is with the browser you used in checking the result. For you to check the JAmb result, pop up window must be enabled on the browser. Try and check it using Mozilla Firefox browser. This is the reason why it is somehow difficult checking the result with your phone via the main JAMB website.

  9. @Ifeoma, obviously, it will be less than 200 for Polytechnic and colleges..

    @Ify…you can fix it from the Settings tab of the browser you are using. Nevertheless, send it and I will help you check.

    @Anonymous…Your score is OK. No need to contact jamb office because I have been seeing the same thing on all results have been checking. Seems, it is just the way the web application has been programmed.

    @Anonymous….hmnn.. I guess, you will need to visit a nearby JAMB office to know what might have caused this…maybe JAMB is reviewing the scores, just the way it was done last year.

  18. Send your reg number so i can help you confirm if it tells you NO RECORD FOUND. You can also wait for some time because some results are still yet to be released..

    As time passes by, we shall know the cut off marks and also if there will be any post utme test or not..

    if they have only released one or two of your subjects, I found out that they will still release others provided you were not involved in any examination malpractices. Keep praying though..

    i am so confused that i dont understand what is happening about my jamb result, lately my result was released with the score 182, after two days it was changed to 179. i dont realy understand the lyrics of that. pls i am tired of writing jamb, i have wasted three years now writing jamb. i cant continue like this, pls something should being done about it. what i noticed now is that jamb are just giving candidates any score, is not fair, pls sir i kindly ask u to look into my case. my reg. no is 06108107EB.

  35. I learnt that the least cut off for universities is 200 and that of polytechnic is 150. Not yet official though as there are still lots of arguments going on with regards to this.

    06407979al –RECORD DOES NOT EXIST. You need to go to the nearest JAMB office to complain about this. Keep praying too. Somebody told me that this case is something similar to a MISSING SCRIPT CASE.

    06108107EB —Your score still remains 179. I am sure there will be a reason for the reduction. kindly go to the nearest JAMB office to complain about this.

  63. Guy. i was posted by jamb to NIIT to study computer software engineering. and i did the post jamb for unilorin and i was not given admission there.
    was it because of the admission jamb gave to me that i was not given any other admission at ilorin? thanks
